What makes Santorini island unique?
Is it the atmosphere of the volcano or the cliffside, well known as the Caldera of the island, or moreover the Blue Domed Churches? A combination of everything can add to the history and the identity of this magnificent island and make it the ideal destination not only for the honeymooners but also for families, group travelers and youth people.
Here’s your chance to meet our history within just a few hours.
Join our excursions which are available on a daily and private basis, with luxurious vehicles and the best Professional Guides of the island.
The tour can start either from your Hotel or from the old port of Santorini, Gialos.
This is the oldest port of Santorini, with limited access, which is still the most graphic of the entire island, portrayed in countless photos and postcards, is distinguished by its impressive natural cliff, where tourists still climb it on foot, on a donkey or the cable car.
Once you manage to get to the beautiful FIRA, which is the current capital of Santorini, you will meet your local Guide and start an unforgettable excursion that will bring you nostalgic memories for the “lost Atlantis” of the Aegean sea.
Our first stop would be an estate winery.
There you can enjoy the Caldera view , the active volcano of the island, the exceptional wines such as Assyrtiko, Athyri, and the famous Vinsanto which are just some of the distinctive varieties and why not the elegant Cycladic cuisine?
Santorini overflows with a great variety of local products like cherry tomatoes, white eggplants, fava, capers and a special kind of fresh goat cheese.
Our next destination will be the famous village of OIA, one of the most beautiful villages of Santorini, with breathtaking views of the volcanic islands which are lying next to Thirasia.
This small village is quite picturesque and well-known for its Blue Domed Churches.
Visited by millions of people, is praised for its spectacular and beautiful sunsets and has the ability to attract tourists, artists and celebrities from around the world, due to its architecture, which is unique, for its mixture of white houses, preserved and dated from the Venetian and medieval times.
Before reaching to the end of your excursion you’ll have the opportunity to meet again the “heart of the island”, which is no other than Fira.
FIRA is a place of cosmopolitan people who come to enjoy its beautiful views offered by the volcanic caldera combined with the unique waters of the Aegean Sea. It is located in the western edge of the island, opposite of the volcano and the two volcanic islands, Palaia Kammeni and Nea Kammeni that lie in the sea.
Fira is a combination of natural beauty, social life, night life, and shopping, where you can feel the liveliness of the island and where all the action takes place.
What makes it so ravishing is the Caldera view that leaves visitors speechless anytime of the day. A walk to the scenic alleys during the daytime will refresh and fill you with harmony. Moreover, for the History lovers there’re two of the most important museums of the island: the Archaeological Museum of Thera and the Museum of Prehistoric Thera which offer a multitude of relics and historic items from the whole island.
Last but not least, in Fira there is a wealth of restaurants, cafes, bars and clubs where you can relax and enjoy the tremendous view or dance and have fun during the night.
It owns the greatest dining out and entertainment selection of the island and the largest shopping center, too.
Isn’t it the best way to finish a an excursion? Over there you can enjoy a meal or a coffee with the breathtaking Caldera View or do your shopping which is even better, before going back to your starting point.
